Two general focus areas for the meeting will be implications for our respective network architectures created by the coming revolution in optical (switched) networking, and the related issue of the implications created by National Lambda Rail and other local, regional, or extra-regional user-owned networks. The Wednesday morning plenary will be focused on security as SALSA will be holding a meeting in Columbus starting after lunch.

The workshop will again offer a combination of tutorials, plenary presentations, in-depth sessions and BoFs. Please contact either of the co-chairs if you would like to organize a BoF or give a presentation.
