UNL Wireless Access

The UNL wireless system does require guests to register. Individuals can register either in advance of the meeting or when they arrive.

If you choose to register prior to arriving in Lincoln you will need to go to http://wireless-reg.unl.edu/. Once you are at that web page use the "click here" button under the section titled "Visitor registration". Following that link you will see an option called "Register a card". Follow that and please fill in all the information asked for. We do need your MAC address of the wireless card to complete the process; you might want to find that before you start the process.

To register once you are on campus and in the Union you need to open a wireless connection and attach to the SSID called JT-Registration. Open your browser and follow the directions on the opening page.

Please use the "JT" as the logon and "JT2008" as the password. You will then be redirected to the registration page. Fill out the visitor form and 10 min later you will have a valid account. Again be aware that you will need to know the MAC address of your wireless card.

There are four SSID associated with the Joint Techs conference.

JT-Registration This is for registration
JT-V4 or UNL-AIR	These are the same - they are the standard campus wireless SSID's.
JT-V4V6 This is a Dual stack SSID for use by XP's systems for the V6 experiment.
JT-V6 This is a V6 ONLY network for use in the V6 experiment.

All but the JT-V6 require you to register for a visitor account.
