The Winter ‘09 ESCC /Internet2 Joint Techs will be held in College Station, Texas starting Sunday afternoon, February 1 and ending Thursday, February 5. (Note that other/related meetings may be held prior to and beyond these dates - see below for schedule). Texas A & M is the host and all meetings will take place at the Memorial Student Center unless otherwise indicated on the agenda.

Friday January 16, 11:59PM EST – Joint Techs Registration Fee increases
Evening meetings will take place at the Hilton Hotel. The Welcome Reception will take place on evening of Tuesday, February 3.
Information of Note: Each registered participant will receive one (1) drink ticket for use at the Reception. All other drinks served at the Reception, and other events at the hotel, will be offered via cash bars. Soft drinks will be complimentary.
For the Joint Techs hosted by Texas A&M University in February 2009, the over-arching focus of the meeting is on the Campus Point-of-View. Four focal areas identified are:

End-to-End Campus Collaboration - Co-chairs: Carla Hunt and Joe Metzger
The Impending Crisis in Routing and Networking - Co-chairs: Dale Finkelson and Matt Crawford
Convergence Technologies - Co-chairs: Russ Hobby and Scott Bradley

Lightning Talks will again be welcomed. A Lightning Talk is a very short (no more than 5 minutes) talk on a topic of your choice - anything interesting or timely, or even a bit off the wall.
