IPTV Workshop
This workshop will cover IPTV theory, required infrastructure, IPTV content distribution, pay-per-view strategy and network content contribution. This workshop will utilize the IPTV head end installed at Texas A&M University and will allow participants to configure set top boxes and soft clients. The content contribution section of the workshop will provide an in depth look at a way of delivering both standard definition and high definition media to the Television Networks. The theory portion of the workshop will review the state of the art in video and audio encoding, multicast requirements, and security as it relates to video DRM. The workshop will then wrap up with a discussion of the financial aspects of IPTV.
