VoIP Workshop

This workshop will provide a background in VoIP technology.  The workshop will begin with a discussion of SIP signaling.  During the workshop, participants will have an opportunity to build a VoIP network by using open source proxies and SIP instruments.  Other topics discussed will include, SIP user agent management (telephones), gateway configuration and requirements, network monitoring for VoIP, an overview of NG 9-1-1 (IP based 911), IP trunking and security.  The workshop will then conclude with a financial discussion of VoIP.
