Madison Concourse Hotel / Pyle Center Transportation ESCC / Internet2 Joint Techs Workshop

Hotel Pick-up/Drop-off Locations:

Pickup and drop-off at the Concourse Hotel is at the Wisconsin Avenue entrance of the hotel (located on the side of the hotel on the 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue), not the main front entrance. Look for signage within the hotel.

Center Pick-up/Drop-off Location is at the front entrance on Langdon Street.

MONDAY JULY 17

TUESDAY JULY 18

Morning: Three buses doing a continuous loop between the Madison Concourse Hotel and The Pyle Center starting with a pick up at the hotel at 7:15am and ending with a pick up at the hotel at 8:30am.

Afternoon: Three buses doing a continuous loop between The Pyle Center and the Madison Concourse Hotel starting with a pick up The Pyle Center at 4:45pm and ending with a pick up at The Pyle Center at 6:00pm.

WEDNESDAY JULY 19

Morning: Three buses doing a continuous loop between the Madison Concourse Hotel and The Pyle Center starting with a pick up at the Madison Concourse h Hotel at 7:15am and ending with a pick up at the hotel at 8:30am.

Early Afternoon: Two buses doing a continuous loop between The Pyle Center and the Madison Concourse Hotel starting with a pick up at The Pyle Center at 12:00pm and ending with a pick up at The Pyle Center at 1:45pm.

Late Afternoon: Two buses doing a continuous loop between The Pyle Center and the Madison Concourse Hotel starting with a pick up at The Pyle Center at 4:15pm and ending with a pick up at The Pyle Center at 5:15pm.

THURSDAY JULY 20

Morning: One bus for ESCC leaving at 7:45am from The Madison Concourse Hotel to The Pyle Center.

Afternoon: One bus for ESCC leaving at 5:15pm to The Pyle Center.

Parking

If you are renting a car (Note: that the Pyle Center is approx 0.7 miles from the Concourse Hotel) recommended parking is located at the Lake Street Parking Lot, 2 short blocks from the Pyle Center, at a cost of approximately $10.00/day. For registrants staying at the Concourse Hotel, buses will be provided on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between the Concourse Hotel and The Pyle Center. We would recommend you use this where possible as Madison can get congested in the rush hour and there is currently some construction in the area.

The City of Madison has parking ramps and limited metered street parking within a short walk of both The Lowell Center and The Pyle Center. Space in these areas cannot be reserved. Public parking on campus ( http://www.civc.wisc.edu/gettingAround.php ) is operated by the UW. These lots are often full by 10 am weekdays, but some have limited visitor permits.

Directions to Lake Street Parking Ramp

From the North or West:

Take Hwy 151 (East Washington Avenue) into Madison.
Turn right onto 1st Street.
Turn left onto East Johnson Street.
Follow East Johnson Street to campus; it will become Gorham Avenue and then turn into University Ave.
Turn right on Lake Street.
There will be a parking ramp on your right-hand side.

From the East:

From I-94, take Hwy 30 into Madison.
Turn off of Hwy 30 onto East Washington Avenue; you will see signs for the Capitol.
Follow directions above from East Washington.

From the South:

Take I-90 to Hwy 12/18 East (also known as the Beltline).
Exit at Park Street.
Follow Park Street to downtown Madison and turn right onto West Johnson Street.
Go one block, and turn left onto Lake Street.
Go one and a half blocks to the parking ramp.

Directions to the Pyle Center at 702 Langdon Street:

As you walk out of the parking lot, turn right. Walk a block and a half, and you will see the Pyle Center across the street to your left.
